Czech and Slovak cultural institutions launch new seasons
Various cultural institutions across the Czech Republic and Slovakia are launching new seasons and hosting festivals.
In the Czech Republic, the Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc is beginning its season with several concerts, including a benefit performance at Svatý Kopeček and an open-air event in Kroměříž. The National Theatre Moravian-Silesian is also launching its 108th season with 14 new productions following a technical renovation. In Kolín, the Gasparáda international non-verbal theatre festival is underway, featuring performers from Germany, Italy, and Argentina. Additionally, the Slovácké divadlo will present its production of ‘Gazdina roba’ at the Divadlo festival in Plzeň.
In Slovakia, the Ján Palárik Theatre in Trnava is hosting an open house event to mark its ‘Nádych’ season. Divadlo Poprad is also starting its season with the Nádych festival, which includes guest performances from Brno and Bratislava, as well as discussions with cultural experts. Meanwhile, Trnava is hosting a beekeeping festival focused on the ecological importance of bees and local honey production.
