Czech Philharmonic performs in Stockholm after 50 years

The Czech Philharmonic performed at the Berwaldhallen concert hall in Stockholm as part of the Baltic Sea Festival on August 25 and 26, 2026. This appearance marked the orchestra’s return to the Swedish capital after more than fifty years.

Under the direction of chief conductor and music director Semjon Bychkov, the program included Maurice Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major, performed by South Korean pianist Yunchan Lima. The performance concluded with Bedřich Smetana’s symphonic cycle, Má vlast. The event was supported by the PPF Group and was attended by diplomatic, business, and academic representatives to strengthen Czech-Swedish cultural and economic ties.
