Czech Philharmonic to perform Janáček Sinfonietta at Brno festival

As part of the Janáček Brno 2026 festival, the Czech Philharmonic will perform Leoš Janáček’s Sinfonietta on October 17, 2026, at the Janáček Theatre. To mark the 100th anniversary of the work’s creation, the performance will feature musicians from the Central Music of the Army of the Czech Republic, recreating the original concept of combining a symphonic orchestra with military brass.

Conducted by Vasily Petrenko, the program will also include works by Béla Bartók (The Wooden Prince) and Igor Stravinsky (Petrushka).
