Czech police officers save swimmers in Seč reservoir and on the Baltic Sea

In the Czech Republic, police officer David Klepetko and his partner used a paddleboard to assist an exhausted swimmer in the Seč reservoir. They kept the man afloat, monitored his condition and escorted him safely to shore without serious injury. Police officials warned that cold water, wind and distance from shore can quickly tire even experienced swimmers and advised the use of flotation devices.

During a vacation on the Baltic Sea coast of Poland, a Prague city police officer noticed two people struggling against strong currents and waves. He helped a twelve‑year‑old boy and an older man reach a breakwater, where they stayed until lifeguards arrived. Both were rescued without major injuries, though the officer sustained minor abrasions.

Both incidents highlight the role of police in public‑safety rescues and reinforce recommendations for safe swimming practices.
