Czech Radio rolls out summer reading series and 1990s‑themed podcasts

Czech Radio České Budějovice will broadcast a daily "Letní čtení" programme from 29 June to 28 August. Five serialised readings – including the premieres V kopřivách, Zloději zelených koní, Písecko, Cesta jinam and the bestseller Zlá babička – are aired each weekday shortly after 18 h and will be posted on the mujRozhlas website and app for eight weeks.

Czech Radio Plus dedicates its summer schedule to revisiting the 1990s, with documentaries, series and podcasts such as "Devadesátkové léto" and "Klub 40" hosted by Ivana Veselková. Live events are planned at the Letní podcastová scéna in Prague‑Troja, at Uherské Hradiště and at the Letní žurnalistická škola in Havlíčkově Brodě, including a screening of the film Pan Nikdo proti Putinovi. New archival audio material features recordings of Václav Havel and a recently discovered interview with Ferdinand Peroutka.
