Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra hosts world premiere by Petr Wajsar

The Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra (SOČR), led by conductor Elias Grandi, performed a program featuring the world premiere of Petr Wajsar’s ‘Katedrála’, a symphonic image inspired by the paintings of František Kupka.

The concert, held at the Rudolfinum’s Dvořák Hall, also included Sergei Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major, featuring soloist Lukáš Vondráček, and Richard Strauss’s ‘Also sprach Zarathustra’.

Radio station D-dur continues to broadcast diverse classical programming, including works by Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Beethoven, and Mozart, alongside various orchestral and chamber music recordings.
