Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra launches 2026 season at Rudolfinum

The Symphony Orchestra of Czech Radio (SOČR) opened its 2026/27 season with a public rehearsal at Prague's Rudolfinum on 24 September 2026. The program featured the prelude from Smetana's *The Bartered Bride*, two Beethoven violin romances, selections from Dvořák's *Legends* and Fibich's Second Symphony. German‑Japanese conductor Elias Grandy, appointed chief conductor and artistic director for the season, led the orchestra, while concertmaster Jan Mráček performed the violin solos.

Tickets ranged from 250 CZK to 1 300 CZK, and the concert was broadcast live by Czech Radio Vltava.
