Several major railway and transport infrastructure projects in the Czech Republic are seeing significant changes. In Jindřichův Hradec, the reconstruction of the bus station, an investment of nearly 100 million CZK, is nearing completion. The project includes 17 new platforms, modernized facilities for passengers and drivers, and the preservation of the historic former Hotel U Města Vídně building. Completion is expected by the end of October.

In České Budějovice, Správa železnic and the South Bohemian Region are planning large-scale investments, including a new underpass and a pedestrian bridge to improve station accessibility. However, the timeline for these projects is being updated as the railway administration re-evaluates investment priorities across the national network.

Conversely, the Ministry of Transport has officially cancelled plans for the Ostřešany connection, a project intended to provide a direct rail link between Chrudim and Pardubice. The project was removed from planning due to poor economic feasibility and local opposition. Instead, travel times between these cities are expected to improve through the modernization of the existing line from Pardubice to Havlíčkův Brod.
