Czech regional art events host open studio days for creators and public
Regional art events are taking place across the Czech Republic, offering the public access to creative spaces and traditional crafts.
In the Vysočina region, the Šmeralův statek in Třebíč hosted an open studio event. Organized by Veronika Zábršová to provide a shared creative space for artists without permanent studios, the event featured works by five artists, including Jitka Janíková and photographer Pavel Křeček. The exhibition showcased various techniques, including paintings inspired by rabbits and works created using dust.
In South Bohemia, the 19th edition of Open Studio Days (DOA) is scheduled for October 10–11, 2026. The event will involve over one hundred artists, craftsmen, galleries, and art schools. The program aims to allow the public to enter private workshops of painters, sculptors, and designers to observe their processes and participate in workshops. The festivities will officially begin with an exhibition by photographer Milan Krištůfek at Tiskárna Karmášek in České Budějovice.
