Czech regional festivals celebrate beer and cider traditions
Various regional festivals are scheduled to take place in the Czech Republic, focusing on traditional beverages and local culture.
In Pardubice, the Nachmelené mlýny festival will be held at the Automatické mlýny industrial site. The event features a wide selection of beer styles from local and distant breweries, including U Vojtěchů, Hřebec, and Volty. The program includes beer competitions, family activities, and musical performances by bands such as JetBeat, Dukla Vozovna, Pitralon DDR, and the punk legend Volant. Visitors can also access a panoramic view from the top of a silo.
Additionally, the Ciderfest will be hosted at the Zubrnice Open-Air Museum. This event highlights the revival of fermented fruit drink production, featuring cider tastings from regional producers and enthusiasts. The festival includes lectures on the history of cider making and fruit growing, demonstrations of must making, and guided museum tours. Cultural entertainment will include performances by Lidoví léčitelé, Kpt. Krab, and Hvězda moří, alongside activities for children.
