Czech regional football clubs suffer narrow defeats

In regional Czech football, both Uhlířské Janovice and Bohemia Poděbrady suffered narrow defeats in their recent matches.

In a 6th league (I. A třída) fixture, Vyžlovka defeated Uhlířské Janovice 3-2. Despite a goal from Čermák and a strike from J. Kopp, Uhlířské Janovice conceded the winning goal to Pavlů in the fourth minute of stoppage time. Coach Jiří Uher expressed disappointment, noting that the team struggled with distribution and missed a goal due to offside.

In the 5th league, Bohemia Poděbrady lost 0-1 to Tuchoměřice. The newcomer to the highest regional competition suffered its second consecutive loss after a goal by Kosík just before halftime. Coach Tomáš Kubánek attributed the result to the ‘rookie tax’ and noted that while his team controlled possession, they failed to convert key opportunities.
