Czech regions allocate over 24 million crowns for housing and tourism projects
The Zlín Region has launched a programme to support affordable housing, directing more than 3.65 million CZK to the municipalities of Oznice and Mistřice. The funding will finance infrastructure for new rental and social apartments, including parking, access walkways and community facilities. Deputy Governor for strategic development Tomáš Chmela said the aim is to motivate municipalities to undertake financially demanding housing projects and increase the supply of rental apartments in the region.
Separately, the Moravian‑Silesian Region announced a tourism development fund of 21 million CZK. The programme comprises two grant categories for building and renewing tourist infrastructure, covering up to 55 % of eligible costs (CZK 50 000 to CZK 2 million per project). Applications, open from 27 June to 15 July, are available to municipalities, businesses and entrepreneurs seeking to improve visitor facilities, information centres, trails and related amenities.
