Czech regions implement new child welfare and support measures

Czech regions are implementing new measures to support vulnerable children. The Pardubice Region has completed a 14-year transformation of its child welfare system, moving away from large institutional buildings toward family-style care in residential apartments and houses.

In the South Bohemian Region, authorities have approved rules for providing individual financial gifts. This initiative aims to assist children with disabilities and those in foster care by covering costs for essential aids, rehabilitation, or services that families cannot afford through standard social or health insurance systems.
