Czech regions showcase newborn babies in weekly photo galleries
Various regions across the Czech Republic, including Olomouc, Plzeň, Ústí nad Labem, Karlovy Vary, Liberec, Hradec Králové, Pardubice, South Bohemia, and Zlín, are participating in a weekly feature showcasing newborn babies born during the 42nd week of 2026.
Through the publication Deník, parents can submit photographs of their newborns along with a signed consent form to be featured in special online and print sections. The initiative includes a weekly popularity contest titled ‘O nejsympatičtější miminko’ (The Most Sympathetic Baby). Winners from each region advance to a national final at the end of the month to compete for the title of ‘Miminko měsíce’ (Baby of the Month).
