Czech Republic and Kazakhstan expand cooperation in transport and agriculture

Czech officials have conducted high-level missions to Kazakhstan to strengthen bilateral ties in transport, logistics, and agriculture. Transport Minister Ivan Bednárik signed a memorandum of cooperation regarding railway transport and discussed the development of the Trans-Caspian Corridor to improve freight connections between Europe and Asia.

Key areas of interest for Czech companies include railway security and communication systems, airport technologies, and regional aircraft such as the L 410. There is also a focus on expanding air cargo capabilities through Ostrava airport.

Simultaneously, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Jaroslava Špalková led a delegation of over 30 Czech companies to the KazAgro/KazFarm exhibition. The mission aimed to promote Czech expertise in digital farm management, agricultural machinery, plant processing, veterinary products, and animal nutrition. The visit included numerous business meetings to establish long-term partnerships in Kazakhstan’s evolving industrial and agricultural sectors.
