Czech Republic defeats Poland in women's handball friendly

The Poland women's national handball team suffered a 25:27 defeat against the Czech Republic during a friendly tournament in Cheb. This match served as a preparation fixture for the upcoming 2026 Women's European Championship, which will be co-hosted by Poland and the Czech Republic.

Despite a competitive first half where Poland trailed only 9:10, the team struggled with offensive inefficiency in the second half. Key contributors for Poland included Monika Kobylińska and Daria Michalak, while Adrianna Płaczek provided significant support in goal. The Czech side, featuring Markéta Jeřábková, maintained control throughout much of the match.

This loss follows a previous defeat against Slovenia in the same tournament. Poland is scheduled to face the Czech Republic's second team to conclude the tournament proceedings.
