Czech Republic expands emergency service infrastructure in Kutná Hora and Turnov
Emergency service infrastructure is expanding in the Czech Republic with the completion of two significant projects designed to improve response times for firefighters, police, and medical services.
In Kutná Hora, the Fire Rescue Service of the Central Bohemian Region has opened new garages for container technology at the Central Fire Station. This facility allows for the consolidation of equipment that was previously split between two locations, including a site managed by the Police of the Czech Republic. Officials stated that the new facilities will increase the operational readiness of the station and the broader regional service.
In Turnov, a new joint deployment center costing 265 million CZK has been completed near the D10 highway. The facility, funded by the Liberec Region with a 100 million CZK contribution from the Ministry of the Interior, will house buildings for firefighters, traffic police, and emergency medical services. While construction is finished, the center is expected to begin operations in October once administrative and property ownership arrangements between the region and the state are finalized.
