Czech Republic experiences unseasonable summer warmth in October
The Czech Republic is experiencing unseasonably warm, summer-like temperatures in early October. The highest temperature was recorded in České Budějovice-Rožnově at 26.1 degrees Celsius.
According to the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), eleven stations reached or exceeded the 25-degree Celsius threshold for a summer day. Notable temperature records were set in Tuhani, where 25.9 degrees Celsius surpassed the previous 2011 record, and in Byňov, which equaled its 2011 maximum at 24.8 degrees Celsius.
Warm and sunny weather is expected to persist through the weekend, with maximum temperatures potentially rising toward 24 degrees Celsius. While some cloud cover and very light precipitation may occur in Bohemia on Friday, no significant cooling is anticipated.
