Czech Republic hiking routes feature Bradlec and Kumburk castles

Autumn hiking routes in the Czech Republic offer excursions to the Bradlec castle ruins and the Kumburk lookout tower. Located approximately eight kilometers from Nová Paka, the red-marked trail to Bradlec involves an elevation gain of 204 meters.

A six-kilometer trek leads to the Kumburk junction, where a steep climb reaches the Kumburk lookout tower. The site features remains of a palace, towers, and walls, providing views of the Bohemian Paradise and the Krkonoše Mountains. Local legends associated with Kumburk include tales of a treasure-guarding rooster and the figure Meluzína.

Visitors can also pass the Na Klepandě inn on the way to Bradlec, which operates from Friday to Sunday in the afternoons.
