Czech Republic hosts local food and wine festivals in September

September features various local food and wine celebrations across the Czech Republic. In the Brno Metropolitan Area, a series of thematic events, lectures, and farmers' markets are being held to promote local products and strengthen cooperation between the city and its surrounding municipalities.

To support local production in public catering, the initiative has developed a cookbook of recipes using regional ingredients for school canteens. Scheduled markets in Brno include locations such as Lesná, Židenice, Vinohrady, and Medlánky.

In Prague, traditional wine harvest festivals, known as vinobraní, mark the end of the grape season. These events include tastings of young wine and burčák, alongside concerts, food stalls, and family activities. Major celebrations include the Vinohrady Wine Harvest Festival, the Wine Harvest at Prague Castle, and the Grébovka Wine Festival.
