Czech Republic hosts major music and architecture festivals

Several music and architecture festivals are taking place in the Czech Republic. The Prague Sounds festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary this autumn with eleven evenings of music across various genres. The program includes diverse performers such as the Brooklyn Rider string quartet and sitar virtuoso Anoushka Shankar.

In Hradec Králové, the second edition of the Architóna international music and architecture festival has commenced. Led by violinist Jaroslav Svěcený, the event features concerts held within historical buildings, with musical compositions specifically tailored to the acoustics of each unique space. The festival aims to showcase the city through its architectural heritage and includes panels on urbanism and specialized exhibitions of historical instruments.
