Czech Republic hosts new Hrady CZ music festival in Hluboká and concludes Benešov steam locomotive fair

The Hrady CZ music festival will be held for the first time in Hluboká nad Vltavou on July 31 and August 1, featuring leading Czech and Slovak performers, a 20‑year mask carnival, and free tours of the nearby castle.

The seventh and final edition of the international steam‑locomotive festival in Benešov runs September 18‑20. Organisers cited rising costs and the introduction of the European Train Control System (ETCS) as reasons to end the event. The fair attracted visitors from across Europe and displayed historic machines such as the French locomotive 241 A.66 historic trains operated on routes to nearby towns.
