Czech Republic hosts quadrathlon World Cup and veteran uphill running World Championships in June 2026

Týn nad Vltavou will hold the 25th edition of the quadrathlon World Cup, featuring elite and amateur athletes competing in swimming, cycling, canoeing and running. The event starts at 12:00 on Saturday and also includes national sprint titles.

In the Krkonoše region, Janské Lázně will host the World Veterans Championship in uphill running from 26‑28 June 2026. Around 1,000 participants from 37 countries will contest three disciplines – uphill, long distance and up‑and‑down – on demanding mountain courses, with temperatures forecast above 30 °C. The program adds music, cultural events and extensive refreshment stations for athletes.

Both championships aim to combine top‑level competition with community involvement, drawing international competitors and spectators to the Czech Republic.
