Czech Republic offers diverse cycling routes and nature trails
The Czech Republic offers a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities, including extensive cycling networks and educational nature trails.
Cycling enthusiasts can explore diverse routes ranging from beginner-friendly paths to advanced terrain. Notable options include routes around Prague, through Moravia, and along rivers such as the Vltava, Otava, and Nysa Kłodzka. The country also features specialized trails through national parks, wine regions, and mountainous areas like the Beskids and Bohemian Switzerland.
In the Plzeň Region, several educational trails are available for hikers and families. The Čertova trail in the Bohemian Forest covers 11 kilometers and features 21 stops highlighting local geological and natural landmarks. For families with children, the Hadí trail near Šumava provides a shorter, five-kilometer interactive experience designed to help younger visitors identify animal tracks and local flora.
