Czech Republic opens major oncology center and hospital pavilion

Significant healthcare infrastructure investments have been completed in the Czech Republic. At the Motol and Homolka University Hospital in Prague, the National Oncology Center has opened following a 4.96 billion CZK investment. Primarily funded by European Union grants through the National Recovery Plan, the center aims to increase oncology care capacity by 40 percent and accelerate the diagnostic process to meet European standards.

In South Bohemia, the Český Krumlov Hospital has inaugurated its reconstructed internal medicine pavilion D. The project, costing over 271 million CZK with nearly 150 million CZK provided by the South Bohemian Region, introduces modern two-bed rooms with private facilities. The renovation also includes 22 beds dedicated to post-operative rehabilitative care, intended to support patients following orthopedic surgeries and facilitate faster recovery.

Both projects represent major steps in modernizing Czech medical facilities, focusing on increasing patient comfort and specialized treatment capacities.
