Czech Republic sees extensive road closures across multiple regions

A series of repair projects are causing widespread full and partial road closures in the Czech Republic. In South Bohemia, major works include the reconstruction of the I/4 stretch between Solná Lhota and Korkusova Huť, the overhaul of the I/20 segment near Blatná – Pacelice, bridge closures on the Kosmonautů and Dobrovodský routes in Českobudějovice, and other temporary restrictions on routes such as I/3 and local streets in Týn nad Vltavou. Heavy trucks over 12 t and long‑distance buses are being rerouted, while lighter traffic may use shuttle‑style passages.

In the Žďár nad Sázavou area, numerous closures affect roads II/353, I/19, II/354, III/354, and others, with some restrictions lasting until late 2026. The closures span urban streets, bridge crossings and regional highways, requiring drivers to follow detour signs and altered speed limits. Authorities have warned motorists to anticipate longer travel times and to plan alternative routes.
