Czech Republic sees widespread mushroom growth following rainfall

Favorable conditions for mushroom growth are currently present across the Czech Republic. Following recent rainfall, particularly in Moravia and Silesia, the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute reports a high probability of finding various edible species, including boletes and more uncommon varieties like milkcaps.

Meteorologist Dagmar Honsová notes that while mushrooms are growing widely, foragers should be cautious in higher elevations such as the Krkonoše and Šumava mountains, where temperatures may drop below freezing, potentially affecting the quality of the harvest.
