Czech Republic to be guest of honor at Frankfurt Book Fair

The Czech Republic will serve as the guest of honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair starting October 7, 2026. To mark the occasion, a wide array of cultural exhibitions and events will take place in Frankfurt and the surrounding region beginning August 20.

Artistic highlights include an exhibition at the Schirn Kunsthalle featuring sculptor Anna Hulačová, and architectural displays at the German Architecture Museum. Other cultural offerings include Czech photography at the German Film Museum, archaeological displays of a bronze vessel from East Bohemia, and various literary exhibitions focusing on suppressed literature from the former Czechoslovakia, Czech book art, and children's picture books.
