Czech Republic to experience cooling and time change this weekend
The Czech Republic is transitioning into a colder seasonal phase this weekend, marked by a shift to winter time and a significant drop in temperatures. On Sunday, October 25, clocks will move back one hour at 3:00 AM to return to Central European Time.
Meteorologists predict a cold front will sweep across the country on Sunday, bringing rain from west to east. While Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy with temperatures around 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, Sunday will see more widespread precipitation and wind. In mountainous regions such as the Krkonoše and Krušné Mountains, the first snowflakes of the season may appear.
Temperatures have already seen significant fluctuations, with lows reaching as low as minus seven degrees Celsius in Volary on the Šumava plateau. The upcoming wind, primarily from the west and southwest, is expected to lower the perceived temperature by approximately five degrees.
