Czech Republic to experience dry weather and fog due to omega block

An omega block atmospheric pattern is expected to influence weather conditions in the Czech Republic starting Monday, October 19. This high-pressure system over Scandinavia will cause weather patterns to stagnate, leading to a period of dry weather and significant morning fog, particularly in valleys and near rivers.

Meteorologists from Meteocentro and the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute predict low precipitation levels, with rain mostly limited to northern and northeastern mountains early in the week. Daytime temperatures are expected to range between 9 and 15 degrees Celsius, though mountains will remain colder.

A warming trend is anticipated mid-week, with temperatures potentially reaching 19 degrees Celsius by Wednesday. However, increased cloud cover and rain are expected to return from the west by mid-week, followed by a temperature drop on Thursday.
