Meteorologist Dagmar Honsová reports that while warm October temperatures reaching up to 20°C persist in some areas, significant temperature fluctuations are expected. In regions experiencing persistent fog, afternoon temperatures may drop to around 8°C, particularly in the northern parts of the country where lows could reach 10°C.

With the onset of autumn, drivers are advised to prepare their vehicles for colder conditions. Key recommendations include switching to winter tires—which must have a minimum tread depth of 4 mm and ideally carry the 3PMSF symbol—and ensuring windshield washer fluid is frost-resistant. Other essential checks include inspecting battery strength, lights, wiper blades, and cooling liquids, as well as treating door seals to prevent freezing.
