Czech Republic weather: Cold front to end Indian summer
A cold front is set to end the prolonged period of Indian summer in the Czech Republic. While temperatures remain relatively high through Thursday, with maximums reaching between 17 and 24 degrees Celsius, a significant shift in weather is expected.
Meteorologists from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute and Meteocentro.cz indicate that the cold front's arrival has been slightly delayed, allowing for warmer afternoon temperatures. However, the front will bring increased cloud cover and precipitation starting Thursday afternoon, moving from west to east. Rainfall amounts are expected to range from 1 to 10 mm, with some areas potentially seeing up to 25 mm if thunderstorms occur.
A sharp drop in temperature is forecasted for Friday, with daily maximums expected to fall below 15 degrees Celsius across most of the country, except for southern Moravia.
