Czech Republic wildlife viewing locations offer seasonal animal encounters

Various locations in the Czech Republic offer opportunities for close-up wildlife encounters, particularly during the autumn season when animals are more active.

In the Šumava region, the Srní Visitor Center features a three-hectare wolf enclosure. Visitors can use a recently reconstructed 240-meter wooden walkway to observe wolf packs from an elevated position. The site also includes a two-kilometer educational trail.

In the Jeseníky Mountains, the NaKoukej farm in Dětřichov provides a deer safari where visitors can ride on a tractor-drawn wagon through an enclosure to interact with approximately one hundred deer.

Additionally, the English park surrounding Blatná Castle hosts a large herd of fallow deer that are accustomed to human presence, allowing for close observation, though visitors are advised to maintain distance during the autumn rutting season.
