Czech singer Sebastian Navrátil denied boarding by Ryanair in Barcelona

Czech pop singer Sebastian Navrátil, known simply as Sebastian, reported that Ryanair staff at Barcelona airport refused to let him and his companion board their flight to Prague despite having purchased priority boarding and checking two bags. The dispute stemmed from a camera tripod carried by his friend, which initially did not fit the airline’s size‑checking device; even after the tripod was disassembled to meet the limits, the airline staff still blocked them from boarding.

Navrátil shared a video on Instagram describing the incident, stating that the staff offered them a new ticket for the following Monday at a cost of €200, forcing him to incur additional travel and accommodation expenses and causing him to miss a day of work. He criticised the airline’s communication and treatment of a small child traveling with the group. Ryanair has not issued a comment.
