Czech ski jumpers Kvěch and Koudelka post personal bests in Grand Prix
Jan Kvěch finished fifth in the Polish Grand Prix at Łódź, improving his personal best in the World Championship series. Acting as a substitute rider, he qualified for the final race, led early on but was passed by Britain’s Robert Lambert, missing his first career final. Kvěch remains 13th overall in the season standings.
Jakub Koudelka placed seventh in the summer Grand Prix at Wisła, Poland, with jumps of 121.5 m and 132.5 m, earning 246.6 points and moving into the top ten of the overall rankings after two of seven events. Japan’s Naoki Nakamura won the men’s competition in Wisła.
Both athletes are the highest‑placed Czech competitors in their respective events, highlighting a strong showing for the Czech ski‑jumping team in the early summer Grand Prix circuit.
