Czech sporting events host charity fundraisers

Various sporting events in the Czech Republic are incorporating charitable components to support local causes. In Větřkovice, an upcoming triathlon will feature races for children, students, and adults. Organizers have included a charity initiative to assist four-year-old twins from Veřovice who suffer from multisystem disorders, with proceeds from donations intended to help the family purchase a specialized double stroller.

In Zderaz, the EMAS Extraliga firefighting competition concluded with a water collection contest and fire attack events. The event served a dual purpose by raising funds for a firefighter from Žamberka undergoing cancer treatment. Proceeds were generated through entry fees, merchandise sales, and food provided by the local community. The firefighters from Letohrad–Kunčice emerged as winners in both the men's and women's categories, securing the overall championship for the season.
