Czech sports coaching changes in baseball and hockey

Significant coaching transitions are occurring in Czech professional sports. In baseball, Draci Brno has decided not to renew the contract of Hynek Čapka after seven seasons. During his tenure, Čapka led the team to five national titles and a European Champions Cup victory in 2024.

Additionally, Eagles Praha is parting ways with Ryan Ford due to financial reasons, while Třebíč Nuclears has signed former MLB first-round draft pick Wes Roemer.

In hockey, Zubři Přerov has appointed Jan Fadrný as their new head coach following the dismissal of Petr Dočkal and David Kudělka. Fadrný, a former player drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins, brings experience from the AHL and the Czech extraliga, where he was part of Slavia Praha’s historic 2003 championship team.
