Czech star Jiří Lehečka to meet Alexander Zverev at Wimbledon

Czech tennis player Jiří Lehečka advanced to the round of 16 at Wimbledon, earning a place on the tournament's central court where he will face world No. 2 Alexander Zverev. Lehečka entered the match after victories over Australia’s Alexei Popyrin, Slovakia’s Alex Molčan and Spain’s Jaume Munar, the latter requiring a four‑set battle. Zverev, the reigning Roland Garros champion and second seed, seeks his first Wimbledon title and leads their head‑to‑head 2‑1.

The duel is scheduled for Monday on Centre Court in London, marking Lehečka’s second appearance in a Wimbledon quarter‑final. A win would make him the first Czech man to reach this stage since 2013, while Zverev looks to add a grass‑court major to his résumé.
