Czech state auctions seized assets to fund crime victims

The Czech Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs is conducting auctions of seized assets, including items ranging from land and vehicle parts to consumer electronics and clothing. One notable auction features a single pair of socks with a starting price of 60 CZK, with bidding open until November 11.

Proceeds from these auctions are directed to a special account at the Ministry of Justice intended for victims of crime. In 2025, the Property Office generated over 250 million CZK through such sales. The auctions include a wide variety of items previously owned by criminals, such as furniture, technology, and luxury goods.
