Czech summer festivals feature music and theater in Mělník and Milevsko

Various summer cultural festivals are taking place across the Czech Republic, offering diverse programming for residents and visitors.

In Mělník, the MEKUC festival provides three weeks of free programming, including music, theater, and film. The schedule features a wide range of genres from folk and rock to pop, with performers such as the Mělník Big Band, Nezmaři, and MIB Quartet. The event also includes theatrical comedies, outdoor dancing, and various workshops and activities designed for families and children.

In Milevsko, the Bartoloměj Posvícení celebrations include a series of musical and community events. Recent performances featured rock artists such as Petr Kotvald and the band Alkehol. The weekend program continues with Myslivecké slavnosti, sports activities, and performances by Janko Ledecký and Jakub Děkan. Additional festivities include a street food festival and traditional competitions.
