Czech Television concludes broadcast of crime series ‘Hvězdná hodina vrahů’

The crime series ‘Hvězdná hodina vrahů’ (The Starry Hour of Murderers) is concluding its broadcast on Czech Television. Based on the 1995 novel by Pavel Kohout, the four-part series is set in occupied Prague in 1945 during the Protectorate era.

The plot follows a serial killer targeting widows, including the wife of a prominent German general, leading to an investigation involving both the Prague police and the Gestapo. Although the story is set in Prague, the production was a German-Austrian co-production filmed primarily in Vienna and Lower Austria to depict the historical setting.
