Czech television updates: New season of Ulice and new series Oddíl B

The Czech television landscape is seeing significant updates with the return of long-running series and new productions. The popular soap opera ‘Ulice’ is entering its 22nd season on TV Nova, featuring several cast changes. Notably, the role of Alexander Nykla is being recast with Gabriel Petr Klener taking over from Filip Hornyak. The new season also introduces new characters, such as Sandra (nicknamed ‘Kraslice’) played by Barbora Mottlová, and Dr. Matouš Havelka played by Radúz Mácha.

Additionally, creators Jan Prušinovský and Petr Kolečko, known for the series ‘Most!’, are reuniting for a new ten-episode project titled ‘Oddíl B’ for the streaming platform Oneplay. The series follows David Broulík, a young man facing imprisonment after a critical life error. The show aims to blend the harsh reality of prison life with comedic elements, focusing on human weaknesses and the consequences of poor decisions.
