US Open: Czech players advance to third round amid mixed results

Several Czech tennis players have advanced to the third round of the US Open, while others faced exits. Jakub Menšík, the 17th seed, secured his place after defeating Jurij Rodionov. Marie Bouzková also reached the third round by defeating Harriet Dart, setting up a match against Iga Świątek. Nikola Bartůňková joined them in the third round following a victory over Tatjana Maria.

In the women's draw, Linda Nosková continued her strong form with a straight-sets win over Lanlan Tararudee to advance. However, Kateřina Siniaková was eliminated after losing to Naomi Osaka. Additionally, Dalibor Svrčina exited the tournament following a match against Luciano Darderi.

Jiří Lehečka also moved into the third round after defeating Toby Samuel, though he reported minor elbow pain following a fall during the match. He is scheduled to face Stefanos Tsitsipas in his next round.
