Czech theaters launch new seasons in Liberec and Plzeň

The Czech theater season has commenced with major events in Liberec and Plzeň. In Liberec, the F. X. Šalda Theatre celebrated its new season with the traditional Theater Square event. This included the announcement of the Liberecká Thálie audience awards, where Veronika Kaiserová won in the opera category, Jaroslav Kolář in ballet, and Martin Stránský in drama.

In Plzeň, the Divadlo J. K. Tyla marked the start of its season with the eleventh annual Vendelín Procession. The parade, which features characters from various theatrical productions, moved through the city center to the Grand Theatre. Martin Šefl portrayed the historical figure Vendelín Budil, a former director of the theater, who serves as a symbolic talisman for the institution.
