Czech tourism shifts toward flexible travel and caravanning

Tourism trends in the Czech Republic are shifting toward increased autonomy and flexible travel styles. In South Bohemia, caravanning is gaining popularity due to the region's diverse landscape, which includes historical towns, ponds, and extensive cycling networks. Travelers can choose between traditional campsites and 'stellplatzy' (designated short-term parking areas for motorhomes) in locations such as Lipno, Třeboň, and Bechyně.

Simultaneously, travel agencies are adapting to a growing demand for self-guided trips. To cater to solo travelers and those seeking more freedom than traditional group tours, companies like Čedok and CK Alexandria are introducing new services. CK Alexandria has partnered with the travel-tech startup Worldee to launch 'Alexandria Explore,' offering nearly 300 pre-planned itineraries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and America. These plans allow travelers to follow expert-designed routes at their own pace while maintaining the security of professional assistance.
