Czech tourism targets Polish seniors with spa wellness programs
Czech tourism authorities are launching initiatives to attract Polish seniors to the country's renowned spa regions. The campaign aims to overcome long-standing stereotypes that have discouraged Polish travelers from visiting Czech wellness destinations since 1989.
Through the ‘Open Polska’ pilot program, organized by Czech Tourism and the Karlovy Vary Region, guests participated in week-long stays combining wellness, culture, and preventative health. Participants visited locations including Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně, and Františkovy Lázně.
According to Anna Gruszczyńska of Czech Tourism, the pilot results were highly positive: 94 percent of participants reported being satisfied or very satisfied, and 58 percent noted health improvements within a week. The program has already seen significant interest, with 268 inquiries received from Poland earlier this year.
