Czech towns Blansko and Děčín gear up for 2026 local elections as Senate race in district 36 is confirmed
Communal elections in Blansko are scheduled for 9‑10 October 2026. Incumbent mayor Jiří Crha (ODS) is seeking a second term and will be challenged by Lenka Dražilová of ANO. The 25‑member council will manage a 1.174 billion‑CZK budget for the coming year.
In Děčín, the next communal elections will also decide the city’s leadership. Current mayor Jiří Anděl (ANO) heads a coalition that includes Volba pro Děčín and Náš Děčín. The 27‑member council oversees a budget that exceeds two billion CZK annually.
