Czech towns Havlíčkův Brod and Pelhřimov announce new pool projects
Two Czech towns in the Vysočina region are advancing major aquatic infrastructure projects.
Havlíčkův Brod plans to submit a building permit application this September for a new indoor swimming complex located near the existing summer pool. Designed by architectural studio AOC, the facility will feature a swimming hall, a relaxation hall, and a sauna world, including a toboggan tower. The project is estimated to cost between 500 and 750 million CZK, with construction potentially beginning in 2028.
Pelhřimov is also preparing for a new outdoor pool facility, with a tender expected to launch this autumn. Construction is projected to start in the second half of 2027, aiming for an opening in the 2028 summer season. The planned complex will include a multi-purpose experiential pool with a 41-meter toboggan, a 25-meter swimming lane, and various massage and hydro-features, alongside a dedicated area for preschool children.
