Czech summer festival season launches with dozens of events across the country

A wave of cultural festivals is set to open the summer of 2026 across the Czech Republic. The VyšeHrátky festival in Prague will run from 3 – 6 September with sign‑language interpretation, captioning and a haptic map for visually impaired visitors. In the Krkonoše region, the traditional Špindlerovská pouť takes place 26 – 28 June, offering rides, concerts and free entry.

The Slovácké léto in Uherské Hradiště runs 26 June – 5 July, featuring concerts by Čechomor, Mikolas and a national beach‑volleyball championship. Jablonec nad Nisou hosts the mountain‑bike JBC 4X Revelations race 9 – 11 July and the Zásadná pouť festival 11 – 12 July. In the Jičín area, the Legends Rock Fest (16 – 18 July) and numerous local fairs, food and craft festivals fill the calendar.

Litoměřice and surrounding towns schedule rock‑focused events such as Altros Rockfest (16 – 18 July), G’oldies Festival (18 July) and Budyňský poutník (31 July – 2 August). Kladno’s City Days will headline the Sletiště open‑air venue 11 – 13 September with performances by Kabát, Lucie and others. Kolín’s cultural summer runs from late June into September with the Coolin festival and numerous free concerts. Svitavy, Litomyšl, Polička and other towns host music, film and heritage programmes throughout July and August. The nationwide Hrady CZ castle‑festival circuit visits eight historic sites between 10 July and 29 August, presenting acts from Mirai and Daniel Landa to rapper Rytmus.

These events together form a diverse programme of music, theatre, sport and family activities, drawing thousands of visitors to towns and historic venues across the Czech Republic.
