Czech towns launch summer music, games and eco‑trail events
Cities in the Vysočina region are offering a range of summer programmes. In Jihlava, the municipal group Brána Jihlavy organises music evenings on the main square where residents dance to Beatles hits, and a pétanque court, ping‑pong tables and other games are available for public use. In Humpolec, a student‑run educational trail teaches visitors about fashion sustainability through QR‑code stations and hands‑on activities, rewarding participants with handmade mascots made from recycled clothing.
Further north, the Radhošť mountain area near Pustevny hosts the "Ledový svět pohádek" ice‑sculpture exhibition, featuring fairy‑tale themed figures such as a deer, a fox and a snow‑woman, accessible via the local cable car. The combined activities aim to attract both locals and tourists to the region’s cultural and outdoor attractions this summer.
